Maria Montessori had the vision and foresight to understand that education had the potential to create a new culture of values and people. She also understood the importance of providing an environment that would respect the child's current levels of skill development. At the same time her
provision of mixed age classes shows her understanding of the importance of social integration in the process of learning. Synergy Schooling holds
many parallel beliefs and understandings.
